Jim Woolly is a native of Little Rock and holds degrees from the University of Arkansas and a PhD from the University of Southern Mississippi. An outstanding soloist and clinician, Jim has done successful work in junior high and college teaching, including 14 years as horn teacher at Henderson State University. He has been a member of the North Arkansas Symphony, Arkansas Symphony, Meridian Symphony, and the Gulf Coast Symphony. He has served as principal horn for the Pensacola Symphony, Oak Ridge Symphony, and the South Arkansas Symphony. Jim is a member of the International Horn Society.

Dr. Jim Buckner, Trumpet

Originally from Charles City, Iowa, Jim Buckner holds degrees from Iowa State University, University of Michigan, and has a DM in trumpet performance from Northwestern University. Before moving to Arkansas, he taught at Illinois State University, Quincy University, Western Carolina University, and Truman State University. Jim has been a member of the Quincy Symphony, Asheville Symphony, Brevard Chamber Orchestra, and the Smoky Mountain Brass Band. In September of 1995 he performed as soloist at the Moscow International Trumpet Festival.
Currently, Jim is the principal trumpet in the South Arkansas Symphony and Past Chair and Professor of Music at Henderson State University.

Chris Kornegay, Tuba

A native of El Dorado, Arkansas, Chris Kornegay holds a BME from Henderson State University where he studied with Dr. Wes Branstine and a MME from the University of North Texas where he studied with Dr. Don Little. He has taught as a band director in Little Rock, Arkansas (1980-1995), and in Paris, Texas (1995-2013). Chris has been an adjunct instructor of low brass at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Henderson State University, Southern Arkansas University, and Paris Junior College. Principal tubist with the South Arkansas Symphony since 1972. He is a member of Texas Music Educators Association; Texas Bandmasters Association; Phi Beta Mu; and the International Tuba Euphonium Association.

Dr. Jeff Parker, Trombone

Jeff Parker, originally from Hot Springs, Arkansas, holds degrees from Ouachita Baptist University, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a DMA in Choral Conducting from the University of South Carolina. Jeff has taught at Newberry College, the University of Arkansas at Monticello, Louisiana Tech University, Arkansas State University-Beebe, Philander Smith College, Choir Director at Hall High School in Little Rock, Arkansas, and is currently the Music Teacher at Watson Elementary in Little Rock, Arkansas. Extracurricular activities include tenor section leader with the Arkansas Chamber Singers, trombonist with the South Arkansas Symphony Orchestra and Extreme Jazz. He is also a substitute trombonist for the Arkansas Symphony.

John Webb, Trumpet

John Webb hails from North Little Rock, Arkansas and holds the BME and MME degrees from Henderson State University. He has been the band director at Camden Fairview High School in Camden, Arkansas and Benton High School in Benton, Arkansas, and Director of the Symphonic Band and Trumpet Instructor at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, in Monticello, Arkansas and was Interim Associate Band Director at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He is also past president of the Arkansas Bandmasters Association and was selected Bandmaster of the Year in 2000. John was a member of the Miss Arkansas Orchestra for 13 years and has played for many touring performers, including Sammy Davis, Jr., James Brown, B.J. Thomas, and Phyllis Diller. He is currently a member of the South Arkansas Symphony.
